Slapping skin unsheathed from its covering and red raw from saliva, a small band of feverish minds is reeling from their sojourn of stress kick started by another weekend that happens every year.

Under false presumptions and belittling thoughts, their drunkenly rampant cascade through the city streets found their party kneeling deep amongst the pillows of the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras street parade. To the left, to the right and up from the backside, their entire scape was drenched in flesh and leather of all sorts and kinds from a spectrum scoping rainbow.

Waking up the next day, they found remnants of the night before lodged in their ears and mouth. Around them, gloves and stakes clinging to bags and bags and bags. Wash over from the clean up crews clearing away debris and litter that will inevitably return to the tap water found in bottles.

Breaking out of this funk and snapping back to a reality, they found offers of enlightenment and social well-being. Answering the call to drive and help the economic imbalance of a workforce underpaid by wages, steps taken too far in the wrong direction. Ever eager, baby flourescent stickers proclaiming an act to "go volunteer" was plastering the walls, windows and seats of public transport and serving as temporary chalk lines around the homeless and freezing.

With enthusiasm in their hearts, the ironic destruction of the message and ideal pays sufferance with another heart attack.
