Gallop Canter Gallop 8 8 Gallop

Discovered just outside a bus stop in front of Banksia station was a "carefully" discarded syringe and bong.

The story of the bong is an ages old tale; one lived and re-lived by every generation of youth. However, the story of the syringe, while also unfortunately too common a tale and one not nearly as benign as that surrounding the bong, warrants certain scrutiny.

With the syringe rests the plastic spoon that one can only assume was used to transform the precious white powder into the state most readily accepted by willing veins. Soon after the transformation came either relief to those who keenly feel and wish to escape the casual indifference of the world or peer acceptance to those attempting to infiltrate the hipster set.

The connection that the syringe had to the bus stop, if any, is tenuous at best. It is certainly possible that it's life cycle was started and ended by a person seeking nothing more than a brief diversion while waiting for a bus that is—especially in the evenings—almost always late.

However, close to the spot where the syringe was initially seen—and where, in fact, it still lies—one can find a series of stores, alleged brothels and other places of business, including, of all things, a microbiology laboratory. It is very possible that the syringe and its previous contents brought some measure of comfort to those trying to escape the cold hard reality of wage slavery.

However, exactly what type of "whore," whether carnal or corporate, abused the substance is a question to which we will probably never have an answer.

Of course a more astute person would probably ask how the aforementioned heroin was cooked on a plastic spoon.
