The Wax Conspiracy

And then they survived...

Disappointing scores of hounds baying at freshly burnt wreckages, the Space Shuttle Discovery safely touched back down around on solid ground.

Diverted from landing at Kennedy Space Centre in Florida due to poor weather conditions, the landing took place at Edwards Air Force Base in the Mojave Desert at approximately 12:12 ZULU on August 9.

Just shy of all out debris and fourteen days, the crew of Discovery returned from delivering supplies to the International Space Station and found themselves whole and alive as their carriage brought home their bodies.

Scavengers and metal scrap enthusiasts lined under the returning flight path walked away moderately empty handed. The screeching of the tires on the tarmac signaled the end of the first successful mission for NASA since the spectacular Columbia explosion and another failed endeavour for hobbyists and crash site investigators.
