A man afflicted with a mullet in Sydney's south west is now the new owner—temporary or otherwise—of a 1980s model portable air conditioning unit. With brown hair, a flannelette shirt, faded jeans and natty sneakers, the unnamed man was seen making quite a fast turn down Elizabeth Street in Liverpool. Considering the fact that the box was rather large so as to create drag and covered the man's torso from hip to neck it seemed like quite a feat indeed.
Tracing back through the wave of stunned onlookers were bystanders agog and jaws agape looking at each other in a state of shock flanking the Macquarie street mall. The line of off guard shoppers ran up the mall toward the fountain centrepiece. Most likely due to the fact that the kidnapped air conditioning unit was from a store around the water feature. The sea of midday shoppers settled quickly back into their rhythm given that there was nobody chasing the man which would have required even less effort on thier part.
With the street chess games still playing uninterrupted the fate of the empty display remains sketchy.
